Customer Requirements

e4k originally had a Samsung DCS Telephone System that while had previously had served them well, it was no longer fit for purpose. The system was outdated and relied on older telephone lines. The area also suffered from poor broadband connectivity, meaning they had poor internet speeds and frequent outages.

e4k wanted to reduce points of failure, upgrade their telephone system and have a broadband connection they could rely on. That’s where Midshire Telecom could help.


Solution

Midshire Telecom consulted with e4k and designed a comprehensive telecommunications solution that met all of their objectives. Midshire Telecom installed a Samsung 7030 telephone system which meant a significant upgrade capacity to accommodate future growth. This upgrade also means that e4k are able to utilise their existing handsets, making the new system familiar as well as keeping costs low and reducing waste.

Their new system works using SIP which routes their calls via their broadband connection rather than traditional analogue lines. This means that with SIP their calls can easily be diverted to mobiles if staff are out of the office and they can also have a range of DDIs to each handset.

e4k now have two broadband connections so that in the rare event that something does go wrong, their broadband will auto-failover so that they can keep connected and working while the problem is being fixed.
