Citizens Advice Sandwell Charity are a pillar of the community & telecoms are essential to their operation. They provide free, confidential and impartial advice for the problems that the people of Sandwell may be facing. Citizens Advice Sandwell are an independent charity and have a local office in each of Sandwell’s six towns.

They approached Midshire Telecom looking for a comprehensive, reliable and scalable solution for their telecommunications set up. They needed inter-site connectivity, a professional auto-attendant, broadband and a Wi-Fi solution.

Account Manager Chris Clifton recommended a HostX telephone system as the integration of VOIP technology would help reduce costs, improve efficiency and future-proof their office communications. Using HostX, their phone system located in the cloud and each site connects to it using their broadband connection.

Citizens Advice Sandwell wanted the ability to unify all of their sites to one initial point of contact. Therefore, Midshire Telecom used HostX to put all six sites on one centralised Auto Attendant – this makes their telephony much clearer for their customers.

Previously, their billing was expensive and confusing. With Midshire Telecom the existing telephone lines have been reduced and migrated to IP telephony which reduced costs and made their billing transparent and uncomplicated.

To solve their connectivity issues Midshire Telecom installed broadband connections at each site and also provided a comprehensive UniFi WiFi solution. This means that they no longer encounter any WiFi “blackspots”.
